About Carolyn

Carolyn Hansen is a ceramic artist living and working in Missoula, Montana. She is currently a first year graduate student in ceramics at the University of Montana.

Carolyn’s work focuses on the exploration and expression of post-traumatic growth and adaptation/maladaptation in the natural world. Listen to Carolyn talk about her life and work here.

Originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Carolyn is her happiest and most authentic self when working with clay. Her other interests include history, cooking, travel, and spending time with her two rescue pugs, Ruby and Curry. She speaks French and some Arabic.
